In the manufacture of the Ferodo clutch disc, heat-resistant composite materials are used; due to their structure, they are used in friction units with heavy loads - brakes and clutches of tractors and other machines. Important elements are steel and cast iron. It has the property of maintaining efficiency at high temperatures of friction surfaces. The linings are well cooled, since their non-working surface fits tightly to the metal base, thanks to which it remains elastic and intact, even until the part is completely worn out. It also includes various additives to improve the roughness of the metal element of the rubbing pair, which promotes self-cleaning from contamination of the pads.
