Planet Gear Assembly 150.39.021 / 150.39.021-2AR is used in the wheel final drives of HTZ wheeled tractors and is one of the main components of the planetary gear mechanism. The planet gear assembly is installed in the wheel final drive carrier, where it meshes with the sun gear and ring gear to transmit torque and increase the tractor's tractive effort.
Depending on the wheel final drive design, two versions of the planet gear assembly are used. 150.39.021 is the earlier version and is built around Planet Gear 150.39.106-3, which uses 26 needle rollers (14 × 28 mm). 150.39.021-2AR is the later version and is built around Planet Gear 150.39.106-5A, designed for 28 needle rollers (10 × 28 mm). Despite their different internal designs, both versions are fully interchangeable and can be used when repairing HTZ wheel final drives.
Each Planet Gear Assembly includes:
Planet Gear Pin 150.39.107-1 – 1 pc.
Planet Gear Spacer Ring 150.39.108-3A – 1 pc.
Planet Gear Spacer Washers 150.39.109 – 2 pcs.
A complete set of needle rollers of the appropriate size.
Together, these components form a complete assembly that is installed in the wheel final drive carrier, ensuring reliable operation of the planetary gear mechanism.
Each tractor is equipped with 12 planet gear assemblies—three in each of the four wheel final drives. During a major overhaul, it is recommended to inspect all planet gear assemblies, as well as the pins, needle rollers, spacer rings, and spacer washers. If excessive wear, scoring, or excessive play is detected, replacing the complete assemblies is recommended. This helps distribute the load evenly, reduces gear wear, and extends the service life of the wheel final drive.
Planet Gear Assemblies 150.39.021 and 150.39.021-2AR are used on HTZ T-150K, T-151K, T-156, HTZ-17021, HTZ-17221, HTZ-242K, HTZ-248K, and other HTZ wheeled tractors with the same wheel final drive design.
