Brake band 150.37.018-1 is a key element of the parking brake of the HTZ tractor (T-150 and modifications). It is a flexible metal strip with friction linings on the inside. These linings create the necessary friction when covering the brake drum, ensuring reliable holding of the tractor in place while parked.
The belt works in conjunction with a lever-cable drive of the hand brake. One end of it is fixed to the bracket, and the other is connected to the rod system. When the operator pulls the handbrake, force is applied to the belt through the mechanism, and it tightly compresses the drum mounted on the transmission shaft. As a result, the rotation of the drum is blocked, and with it the movement of the tractor. After releasing the handbrake, the springs return the belt to its original position, freeing the drum and allowing the transmission to rotate freely.
