Steering bipod 151.40.216-1 is used in the power steering unit of HTZ tractors and is designed to transmit force from the steering mechanism to the steering rod, ensuring rotation of the tractor's steered wheels.
The splined part of the bipod is installed on the steering worm 125.40.104, which is part of the unit 125.40.083 (worm and sector). On the opposite side, through a smooth hole, it is connected to the ball pin 151.40.162-1, which provides a movable connection with the steering rod.
Thus, the bipod is the connecting element between two key steering components - steering mechanism assembly 151.40.051-1 and steering rod 151.40.022-2A, converting the rotational movement of the steering mechanism into translational movement of the steering rod.
The good condition of the bipod directly affects the accuracy of tractor control, the absence of play in the steering mechanism and the safe operation of the equipment.
It is used on tractors HTZ T-150K, T-151K, T-156, HTZ-17221 and other models with a similar design of the power steering (power steering).
