The main gear 151.72.011-5 serves to transmit and convert torque from the propeller shaft to the axle shafts at an angle of 90°, transmitting rotation from the cardan to the drive wheels and at the same time increasing the torque on them by reducing the rotation speed.
Diagram of the main gear (bevel pair) and differential of the T-150K tractor with automatic locking.
The main gear is a bevelmain pair of gears. The drive bevel gear on the end of the driveshaft meshes with the driven bevel ring on the differential. This engagement reduces the rotation speed and increases torque at the wheels. After this, the rotation goes to the differential.
The differential (151.72.013-7 / 151.72.013-5) distributes the torque between the left and right wheels. A limited-slip differential (self-locking) with steel friction disc packs is used. When one wheel slips, the friction forces in the discs partially block the differential, directing more torque to the wheel with better grip.
The main gear is installed in the front axle housing (151.72.012) or rear axle (151.73.012A). The unit is compatible with HTZ models: T-150K, T-156, HTZ-17221, etc.
The design is repairable. If worn, you can replace the gears of the main pair (drive and driven). The differential is also subject to restoration - the friction discs are replaced and the gaps are adjusted for normal operation.
