Water pump 60-13002.11 / 72-13002.00-01 for SMD-60 and SMD-72 engines
Purpose:
The centrifugal water pump is designed to circulate coolant through the radiator and engine water jacket, removing excess heat.
Working principle:
The pump is driven from the crankshaft through a belt pulley. The rotating impeller creates a vacuum in the pump cavity and sucks in the coolant, after which it centrifugally pumps it into the casing “volute” and further into the channels of the cooling system.
Design:
The pump body is made of cast iron. Inside there is a shaft with an impeller on ball bearings. The rear end of the shaft with the impeller is immersed in coolant and sealed with a stuffing box (end) assembly. The back of the case is closed with a lid with a paronite gasket. A drive pulley and a cooling fan are installed at the front end of the shaft, forming a single unit with the pump.
Applicability:
This pump is installed on all vehicles with engines of the SMD-60 family (SMD-60, SMD-62, SMD-72, etc.). It is used not only on T-150 tractors, but also on other equipment with such engines - for example, on Don-1500 combines.
Maintainability:
The pump is repairable - replacement of worn bearings, seals and impeller with new parts is provided.
