Spring buffer 125.31.105 is a rectangular rubber shock-absorbing element designed to limit travel and soften shock loads on the suspension of KhTZ wheeled tractors. Among mechanics it received the unofficial name “soap” due to its characteristic shape and smooth surface.
The buffer is installed as part of the spring assembly (spring catalog number - 214-2902012-05) and is used in both 8-leaf and 11-leaf springs. It prevents metal-to-metal contact between suspension components under maximum compression, thereby reducing shock loads on the frame and extending the life of the leaf springs.
It is made of high-strength oil and petrol resistant rubber, which retains elasticity at different temperatures and is resistant to mechanical deformation and aging. The buffer is easily replaced during maintenance and does not require additional adjustment.
Application:
Wheeled tractors T-150, T-151, T-156, KhTZ-17221, KhTZ-242, KhTZ-248 and other models with spring suspension produced by the Kharkov Tractor Plant (KhTZ).
