Compressor 540-3509015 is used on T-150 tractors with SMD-60 diesel engines. It is designed to pump air into the tractor's pneumatic system, ensuring the operation of the brake system (including trailer brakes) and the pneumatic clutch booster, as well as other pneumatic devices of the tractor (for example, the windshield wiper drive).
The compressor is a two-cylinder, single-acting piston unit driven by a V-belt drive from the engine crankshaft pulley. A similar compressor model with number 130-3509009-11 is used on ZIL trucks (for example, ZIL-130).
The design of the product provides air cooling and a durable cast iron body. The unit is equipped with a breather for crankcase ventilation and an air filter at the inlet. The compressor is lubricated with engine oil from the engine lubrication system.
